Oveis Saheb Samiabadi, 27 years old and single, was originally from Torbat-e Jam in Razavi Khorasan province and resided with his family in Qods City, Tehran. On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the first day of the protest call, he participated in demonstrations in Qods City, his place of residence. At approximately 8 PM in the same location, he was shot by Islamic Republic security forces. Oveis was struck in the side by live ammunition fired by the repressive forces.
