About the Daadaar Initiative

An initiative to advance transparency and justice

Our Mission

Daadaar is a national and legal initiative founded by the National Assembly of Iranian Jurists (NAIJ) to document, preserve, and safeguard the truth. The initiative rests on three pillars: honoring the memory of those who lost their lives (Yaadmaan), tracking the fate of detainees and victims of enforced disappearance (Daadbaan), and identifying the perpetrators and commanders behind systematic human rights violations in Iran (Daadyaar). The Daadaar platform systematically maps and documents the power structure, institutional networks, and chains of responsibility within the Islamic Republic and its affiliated entities. With the goal of exposing structural and institutionalized injustices, the platform provides a secure and anonymous channel for citizen reporting, while making the data available for review, verification, and use by the international community, human rights organizations, and competent judicial authorities. Daadaar was created to preserve the collective memory of the Iranian nation, strengthen legal documentation, and support the Iranian people's demand for justice.

Context

In a system where information is structurally blocked and transparency is not absent but suppressed, systematic human rights violations and institutionalized corruption thrive in obscurity. Daadaar — a national and legal initiative by the National Assembly of Iranian Jurists — seeks to expose the power structure, institutional networks, and chains of responsibility by harnessing collective citizen intelligence and modern technology. We believe that mapping the hierarchy of power is the first step towards holding it accountable. The mission of Daadaar rests on three pillars:

Yaadmaan — Honoring the Memory of the Fallen

A living memorial honoring those who sacrificed their lives for freedom. Yaadmaan preserves the stories, images, and legacies of victims so they are never forgotten. Each memorial is a testament to courage and a reminder of the human cost of repression.

Daadbaan — Tracking Detainees and the Disappeared

Daadbaan is a citizen-driven database for documenting the status of political detainees and victims of enforced disappearance under the Islamic Republic. Daadbaan is the voice of those silenced behind bars — because when the world is watching, impunity becomes harder. Visibility is the first shield against oppression.

Daadyaar — Identifying Perpetrators of Human Rights Violations

Daadyaar is a system for identifying, recording, and documenting the identity and role of perpetrators, commanders, and systematic violators of human rights in Iran. By mapping the chain of command and responsibility, this section compiles a documented dossier on each individual for review by the international community, human rights organizations, and competent judicial authorities — so that no human rights violator remains hidden in anonymity.

How Daadaar Works

Reporting

Reporters can submit information about individuals, institutions, or specific events to the Daadaar platform without publicly disclosing their identity. The reporter's identity is kept confidential by the platform. To ensure the credibility and verification of each report, submitting necessary metadata — including time, approximate location, and information source — is required. This metadata is only accessible to the Daadaar verification team and will never be published publicly.

Community-Based Verification

Every report undergoes a rigorous verification process. We employ a hybrid model that combines AI-driven analysis with moderation by trusted community members to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the data.

Data Graph Mapping

Verified data is registered and integrated into the Daadaar knowledge graph. This graph enables mapping relationships between individuals and institutions, reconstructing command structures, and identifying spheres of influence — revealing patterns that would be impossible to detect in isolated and fragmented reports.

Technical Infrastructure

The Daadaar platform is built on technologies that embed security, resilience, and privacy protection at the core of its architecture. A graph database for modeling complex relationships between individuals and institutions, decentralized storage (IPFS) for durable preservation of media and documents against censorship and deletion, and a custom Proof-of-Work (PoW) mechanism to safeguard system integrity form the technical pillars of this infrastructure.

Join This Initiative

Daadaar is a people-driven initiative. Whether you are a developer, a researcher, a jurist, or a citizen who has witnessed injustice — your participation is vital. Together, we will build the most comprehensive and accurate documentation of institutional power structures and organized crimes under the Islamic Republic — so that the truth becomes eternal.
