Peyman Lafooti

Peyman (Mohammadali) Lafouti, 40 years old, a Gilak citizen from Kochesfahan, was fatally shot by direct fire from forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during nationwide protests on January 8, 2026, in the aforementioned city. According to received information, Peyman Lafouti was riding a motorcycle with his sister at the time of the shooting. Government forces shot him in multiple areas of his body, and he succumbed to severe bleeding. His sister was also wounded in the abdomen during the shooting and, according to reports, remains alive. Peyman Lafouti's body was buried on Saturday, January 9, 2026, under strict security measures and in a restricted setting.
