Shahram Ramezani

According to reports received by Hirkani, Shahram (Shahab) Ramazani, a Gilak citizen from Sari, was arrested by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the December 2025 - January 2026 protests in that city. He subsequently died under torture, and his body was abandoned near Niasar. According to informed sources, his family faced approximately 40 days of complete lack of information regarding his fate after his arrest on January 19, 2026, and no official body provided a clear response regarding his whereabouts or condition. According to this report, Shahram Ramazani's body was ultimately discovered on February 15, 2026, near Kiasar village. Sources close to the family state that signs of torture were evident on his body, and his remains were abandoned at the location after his death.
