Pedram Argha

Dr. Pedram Argha, a 31-year-old Yarsan Kurd dentist from Kermanshah, was shot directly with a live bullet on the evening of January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404 SH) in Kermanshah's 'Maskan' neighborhood. He had gone to intervene when he witnessed security forces beating a protester from his clinic window. After being transferred to the hospital, he died due to severe injuries and bleeding. Security agencies had conditioned the handover of his body on identifying him as a member of the Basij, but his father declared at the funeral that his son was never a member of this organization and that the title was forcibly attributed to him. Dr. Pedram Argha's body was buried on January 12, 2026 (22 Dey 1404 SH) in the cemetery of Sarab Tiran village, Kuzaran region, Kermanshah. In his last conversation with his mother, before his condition worsened, he said, 'It's okay, mother, I had to go.'
