Taha Ghaemi

The late Taha Ghaemi, an 18-year-old final-year vocational school student residing in Elahieh, Mashhad, lost his life on January 9, 2026. He was shot from behind in the lungs by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic regime, in front of the Elahieh police station in Mashhad, during the protests referred to as the 'Lion and Sun Revolution'. Taha Ghaemi was an unarmed teenager who was present in the streets solely to advocate for the right to life and freedom, and was killed by these suppressive forces.
